AKIJ Commodities Ltd. is an important business unit of AKIJ Resource that brings the legacy of excellence and expertise. Established in 2021, the company specializes in importing essential grains like wheat, yellow peas, lentils, chickpeas, and corn, sourced from top global markets including Ukraine, Canada, and India.
AKIJ Commodities focuses on quality and consistency and is quickly becoming a key importer of wheat and yellow peas while expanding into chickpeas, lentils, and new product categories like chia seeds and spices. Our mission is to deliver high-quality commodities that meet the growing market demands and build lasting partnerships.
Our Products
Wheat
Since our journey in trading, we have imported 3,45,000 MT wheat. We have quickly established ourselves as one of the major wheat importers due to our consistent delivery of high-quality products to the market.
In order to guarantee the availability of high-quality raw materials for the production of flour items, we import six lac metric tons of wheat annually for both production and trading purposes, primarily from Canada, Australia, and India.
Yellow Peas
With the aim of bringing everyday essential foods closer to consumers, AKIJ Commodities embarked on a journey to import yellow peas. Since then, we have successfully imported a total of 1,91,500 MT of yellow peas primarily from Canada. Now we have a plan to import ninety thousand metric tons of yellow peas every year for trading.
Lentils
AKIJ Commodities began its Lentil Trading by importing 31,500 MT of Nipper Lentils from Australia, and we anticipate increasing its volume based on market demand. Throughout the year, we have a plan to sell almost seventy thousand metric tons of lentils for trade purposes.
Chickpeas
We began our chickpeas trading by importing 2,000 MT from India, and we continue to expand our chickpeas imports to meet the market demand in Bangladesh. Throughout the year, we have a plan to sell almost forty thousand metric tons of chickpeas for trade purposes.
Besides the above-mentioned grain items, AKIJ Commodities tries to engage new product portfolios in its trading business, such as corn, chia seeds, dates, dried fruits, and spices.
